Welcome to Southeastern Seaproducts “Salty Seas”. Founded in 1992, the company operates our primary state of the art 40,000 sq ft processing facility in Melbourne Florida, as well as many other facilities along the Atlantic east coast.
The Facility is GFSI level 2 certified as well as social audit certified. The owner and CEO, Mark Maynard Sr., has been in the shellfish business since the age of 15. His son, Mark Jr., is now president of the company.
Under the brand name Salty Seas, Southeastern Seaproducts has developed a full line of value-added shellfish items for retailers and foodservice. The line is all one of kind unique shellfish items. Our ocean fresh harvest to frozen science utilizing proprietary high-pressure steam cooking and cryogenic freezing technology, accompanied with recipes designed by top chefs will allow customers to use this specialty products directly from frozen with no labor or waste.
Four years in the making and a multimillion-dollar plant renovation including new processing equipment such as a MULTIVAC, TX 710 skin machine, three Matheson cryogenic tunnels, multiple pressure steam, and cooking machines, we have revolutionized the frozen shellfish market. The retail packaging is very attractive with real product photos on the cover of the boxes, these products are also available in Food Service packaging by the case.

Our frozen half shell Bluepoint oysters are the best in the industry. We start with whole shell LIVE oysters cryogenically frozen within 48-hours of harvest. Our patented process with a machine removes the upper shell and is finished with the saltwater glaze which provides a superior quality, half shell over competitors hand shucked. This process provides an exceptional quality unprecedented by any other half shell. Our new vacuum skinned half shell trays “Patent Pending” provides user friendly thaw up to 5 days without compromising quality, texture or moisture loss. No other brand can top this.

East Coast littleneck Clams are purged to perfection in our state of the art saltwater system with 25 parts per thousand cold salt water eliminating all grit. Our clams are then vacuum packed live by the dozen and pressure steam cooked, then cryogenically frozen immediately with nitrogen for unsurpassed quality over imports. This process provides exceptional quality once reheated. Southeastern is the only company in United States that has perfected this process.
